They Said What??

I'm driving home today from having lunch with B. (Moes, yum!) ...and I drive past the local animal hospital which always has some pithy saying posted on it's board outside. Today the board reads, "Writers are lousy conversationalists". WTF are these people talking about?? Most folks I enjoy talking to also write to beat all hell.
